Hi! I'm Beth Auguste, MS RDN CSOWM WFS.
What the letters behind my name mean: MS RDN (masters level registered dietitian nutritionist), CSOWM (board certified specialist in obesity and weight management) and WFS (certified women's fitness specialist with the national academy of sports medicine).
There is soo much nutrition information and mis-information out there and it can feel really overwhelming! One article says that X is a wonder food and the next article says to avoid X at all costs. A registered dietitian nutritionist can help you learn what healthy eating means for you based on your health history and your lifestyle. You are in the right place if you are looking for: An expert to help clear up the confusion, a coach to help you turn your "I know I should" in to "This is how I make it happen," or a health guide to help you manage symptoms, prevent disease or reduce the need for a medication. As a registered dietitian nutritionist my goal is to help you create personalized healthy food habits and to feel empowered in your eating choices. During your first 60-75 minute session we will review your health and nutrition history. I will ask you to walk me through a typical day, including not only what you eat but also what may be getting in the way of reaching your nutrition goals. Together we will set goals that make sense for you where you are, right now. You can expect to leave your first session with a few specific strategies that feel doable and achievable. Follow up appointments are scheduled based on the amount of time you need to implement the strategy that we created and the amount of accountability you are seeking. Frequency varies from weekly, biweekly, monthly or simply as needed. Follow up appointments are typically 45 minutes in length. ~ Schedule a one-on-one session or a session together with other members of your household for the following: Practical solutions to healthy eating Understand what makes a balanced diet for you Feel less over hungry Improve your energy and mood Build a better relationship with food Manage or prevent high cholesterol Manage or prevent diabetes Manage IBS, allergies or food intolerance Eat well for pregnancy, postpartum and lactation Manage gestational diabetes PCOS Menopause Appointments are conducted virtually in the HIPAA compatible platform, Practice Better. Out-of-pocket prompt pay cost (if a visit is not covered by your insurance): Initial session: $160 Follow up visits: $85 You may know what you need to do to eat healthier, but for some reason it isn't happening. I can help you make it happen!
*All major health insurance is accepted. We recommend that you call your insurance company to confirm coverage.* (<-- Click here for a worksheet with specific questions you can ask when you call)
Don't assume that you'll need to pay out of pocket! Many health insurance companies will cover your visit as a preventative service -- which means you might be able to bypass your deductible and pay $0 out of pocket.
